I found a really cool website that gets you tickets at a really great price called Ticket America! It has everything including concerts, sports, theater , hot events that are happening , and the most popular events that are happening right now!
Such as if you go to Ticket America and click on Boston Celtics Tickets. When you click that link it allows you to view tickets and even lets you know how to order them. When you click the blue link to view tickets it gives you also a list of places they will be playing so that way you know if there is some place near you. To make it easier you can find out by the date you are looking to go. The soonest they have available is October 6, 2010 for Boston Celtics vs Philadelphia 76ers.
Now say you are looking on Ticket America for New Jersey Nets Tickets. It is the same procedure. You go to the blue link and click to view tickets available, look up the dates specific and places. All of this gives you comparison links on prices available as well. The soonest available date for them right now is Oct 3, 2010 in Newark, NJ if you click on the right link you will see that date first.
The New York Nicks Tickets information is now available as well on Ticket America. Hey! Also, for all of these things you get fun facts about the teams, concerts, etc that you are searching for. Something that I learned from this was ," The term "Knickerbockers" traces its origin back to the Dutch settlers who came to the New World - and especially to what is now New York - in the 1600s. Specifically, it refers to the style of pants the settlers wore ... pants that rolled up just below the knee, which became known as "Knickerbockers," or "Knicks." Which I found interesting because we have a Knickerbockers here in Lafayette, Indiana where I live. I actually never knew where the name came from. So, there are even little bits of trivia as well.
I also liked when I looked up the Philadelphia 76ers Tickets and found out " It All Started in 1937-The original Philadelphia 76ers were neither in Philadelphia nor called the 76ers. But the team did begin in a northeastern city and did have a patriotic name, the Syracuse Nationals. The Nats had been in the NBA since the league's first year of existence and came to the City of Brotherly Love in 1963, just after the Warriors had abandoned Philadelphia for San Francisco. Thus began the Philadelphia 76ers, an organization that has featured one of the best NBA teams ever to swagger onto the court (68-13 in 1966-67) and one of the worst to be blown off it (9-73 in 1972-73). "
Now, I am just looking things up to find out more interesting facts and Pearl Jam tickets that might be available near where I live in a few months!
As I said go to Ticket America's website. It is very easy to use and access. You can find everything at a click of a mouse!
