COLUMBIA PARK ZOO

Today, I went to the Columbia Park Zoo with my mom and daughter. It was very hot out today! According to our local tv station it tells me it was 90 out but it felt hotter than that. I actually have a burnt forehead! I kind of wish we were at the Tropicanoe Cove because it seems like a great place to cool off! (LOL!) According to our TV station's (WLFI) website it tells me that it has been major busy especially lately so it might be a good thing I wasn't there!

Well, I wanted to share some photos I took today !

joz

This is Joz on the way to the park. There is a yard near where we live that has their own forest as Josie likes to call it. There are a lot of very pretty flowers. We didn't walk on anyone's flowers to take this photo. There was a nice pathway there.

This is a closeup of the same photo in this person's "forest" / garden area.

This is really cool how it came out. It is really eaten up! I bet there is going to be a gorgeous butterfly coming soon!

I don't know how long this Coke advertisement has been on this wall but I been here over ten years and it is still there.

This is a really kewl plaque over there at the Columbia Zoo on the wall before entering into the zoo. There is also one of a eagle as well.

Another one of my daughter. She was posing like crazy having fun while we waited for my mom to get out of the restroom . It was one of those moments.

This guy was sooooo adorable!!! :) He was actually sitting there watching everyone pass by and he was at points posing for people's cameras! He would see someone with a square thing at their face and turn to them! it was hilarious!!!!

Another one of the ground hogs!

They have a really kewl butterfly exhibit! Be careful though some of them fly around and land onto the ground you are walking! Also, make sure you wipe yourself off before exiting because some of them might have stayed behind on YOU! :)

He/She was jumping all over Mom here trying to get her up to play. It was adorably funny!

Again, I been here in Indiana over ten years and this same bench has been slowly sloping downwards. I need to find my photo of it last year where Joz was sitting on it and it was tilted but not this bad!

The duck pond ... you see NO ducks here because they were all gathered under some bushes in the water and out hiding from the heat and I really don't blame them!

These flowers looked "fuzzy" to me so I snapped a photo.
