Another Etsy five

In case you don't know Etsy is a place where you can buy and sell all sorts of things and it is supposed to be handmade items or vintage.

In looking for something silly a few months back I discovered all sorts of odd things on Etsy so I decided to share them with you all!

Here is another five items I found recently :



This is called a "suicide brooch" and is by Tilly Bloom on Etsy if you want to check it out. This got my curiosity going of what a suicide brooch would be so I searched for it and found out nothing of why it is called that. I did find out , however, that Tilly Bloom is based in New York and has a shop there.



I would like you to meet the gender confused Frank or Franny by mealymonster on Etsy. Mealy Monster has all sorts of weird , Unsusual strange dolls on Etsy and this one caught my attention! It is almost a bad car wreck where you can't quit staring at it. It is like that old photo of the half man /half woman from a circus years ago. It is morbidly done though. This doll looks worn for the wear and really has some stories to tell probably. I can't remember where the half man/ half woman came from originally and if anyone knows let me know because I just did a google search and can't figure it out. It is also 9 in the morning and I been up since 6 a.m (unexpectedly).



Okay, when I saw this and it was titled ," cat hips and coral earrings," I thought surely it was FAKE but no, at last, they are REAL. These are real cat hips that were turned into earrings and it disturbs me deeply. Although it says," All bones have been professionally cleaned and no animals were harmed for this purpose," It just makes me wonder ... WHY?! It is by Bisectedbeauty on Etsy and apparently is a S.L.A.M magazine featured artist. You can also find cat paw barrets by this Etsy seller. I still say disturbing!



You are now wondering, "...What in the world am I staring at?...," and if you are a doctor you might know. Yes, folks this is a kidney. This is a 5x5 Watercolored kidney. The description tells it all," I thought about harvesting kidney stones from unfortunate victims, cutting and polishing them until they gleamed, and setting them in rings - then I painted this." Seabelly on Etsy has a shop that has other watercolorings as well and some of them odd but a few of them halfway normal. I love the one of the baby giraffe that has to be my favorite. As for the kidney if anyone can use one you can find it on Etsy.

Elizabethruffing created these cute slugs in her description," My "Hug Me! Slugs" are gaining superpowers. "Super Slugs" have superhero-sized amounts of love to give. And they are always happy to give it. They have their own attached capes too." These are actually very cute but I can't afford $40 for a superhero slug.
I like the idea of this slug and she apparently has a few websites as well with other things. One is Ruffing's fine art giclees and the other is Elizabeth Ruffing dot com and that is just a blog about her art work. She is actually very talented and I encourage you all to check her out!
