While I was just talking to my mother , I started playing on facebook. You know how they have the little tiny ads for various things on the side? Well, one actually caught my attention. It is a really great idea! Green Beans Coffee is supporting the troops by taking donations to send coffee to the troops! You wouldn’t see Starbucks doing this!
You can even get a T-shirt that says “brewed in Iraq” or ” brewed in Iran” and a http://www.greenbeanscoffee.com/coffeecard/that you can send to your joe overseas for coffee! ” For each Coffee Card purchase, Green Beans will contribute an ADDITIONAL 10% IN DOLLAR VALUE to your Coffee Card’s face value. Cards are available in any denomination starting at $20.”
When you make a donation which comes in denominations as little as $2 to as high as you want it to be you get to write a message to the troop/soldier that will be personally delivered to them! You can pay by Paypal or Credit card and it is all safe. I , myself, just purchased a cup of coffee for a Joe. I think this is a wonderful idea and I don’t know why someone didn’t come up with it sooner!
I have a cousin who is over there right now. I wish it could be him that I send the coffee to but whoever gets it I hope they really enjoy it.
